This class starts at the basics of rock climbing utilizing a top rope set up. No prior experience is necessary as this class will teach you the basic set up for safety, gear, and rigging. You will learn standard holds, routs, belaying, belay commands, and emergency procedures. This class starts indoors and then moves outdoors for several actual climbs and belays.

You will also learn multi-pitch rappelling for long descents with shorter ropes. This class will require several climbs.

Learn rescue rigging, rescue hauls, rescue rappel, rescue knots, safety procedures, and emergency belaying. You will learn the rigging points needed and what can be used for rigging. Learn special rigging with mechanical advantage, advanced knots, special gear, lowering or hauling loads, and backup or emergency belaying.
