Rappelling Adventure – Little River Canyon Area 4-hours
Come experience the thrill of rappelling down the sheer sandstone gems of NE Alabama.  No previous experience necessary.  Each trip includes all the gear plus basic instruction. Meet at True Adventure Sports $39/person

Rock Climbing Adventure – Cherokee Rock Village or Little River Canyon Area 4-hours
Nestled in the NE corner of Alabama are some of the best and unique sandstone cliffs in the country.  Come experience first-hand what rock climbing is all about with guides who are fun, safe and energetic. This trip includes all the gear plus basic instruction.  No prior climbing experience is needed.  Meet at True Adventure Sports $35/person

Extreme Night Hike – Cherokee Rock Village  2.5-hours
This end-of-day adventure does not slow down just because it’s dark.  Intended for a large group team-building exercise, this hike has a bit of bouldering, some scrambling, some spelunking, and a whole lot of teamwork.  Headlamp and enthusiastic guide included. Meet at True Adventure Sports $19/person
Evening Lake Tour - Weiss Lake 2.5-hour
Come explore the banks of Weiss Lake in a guided twilight canoe/kayak tour.  See 200ft cliffs converge at the pristine Yellow Creek Falls and take a dip into the clean clear waters of Weiss Lake.  No prior experience needed. Meet at True Adventure Sports  $33/person
Wild Cave Tour - Manitou Cave (Fort Payne).  2.5-hours
Go beyond where the average tourist explores! This 2.5 hr. adventure is for those of you ready to explore on your knees, on your belly, in the mud and through tight tunnels.  Explore in one of NE Alabama’s most unique all-weather caves, Manitou Cave, in the heart of Fort Payne, AL.  Adventure includes helmet, cave lamps plus a fun informative guide.  Meet at True Adventure Sports  $30/person

Day Zip Line Adventure – North East Alabama 2-hours
Our cable zip line spans 250 feet over a ravine and whisks you on an adventure through the woods.  You get up to 2-3 zips per person. Meet at True Adventure Sports   $20/person

Night Zip Line Adventure – North East Alabama 2 hours
Our cable zip line spans 250 feet over a ravine and whisks you on an adventure through the woods where your only light source is a headlamp and tiki torches.  You get up to 2-3 zips per person. Meet at True Adventure Sports   $25/person
Zip Line Adventure –North East Alabama 3 to 4 hours
This is an adventure of a lifetime. This particular zip line is set up just before the adventure to ford a gorge or cross from one high point to another.  Pre-registration required at True Adventure Sports two weeks prior (this zip line only) to the date you would like to reserve. Call TAS for details.  Meet at True Adventure Sports   $75/person
Sky Swing Adventure – North East Alabama 2 hours
If you like to defy gravity you need to try out our sky swing.  It travels right at 80 feet and swings you 40-45 feet in the air.  You can get up to 2-3 swings per person if you have the guts for it. Meet at True Adventure Sports   $25/person
Night Sky Swing Adventure – North East Alabama 2 hours
If the day sky swing sounds tame, try our night sky swing where a head lamp is the only light source.  Each person still gets up to 2-3 swings per adventure. Meet at True Adventure Sports   $30/person
Sky Swing/ Zip Line Combo-North East Alabama 3 to 4 hours
Our cable zip line spans 250 feet over a ravine and whisks you on an adventure through the woods.  Our Sky Swing travels right at 80 feet and swings you 40-45 feet in the air. With this combo you get to experience both. You can get up to 2-3 zips or swings per person if you have the guts for it. Meet at True Adventure Sports $45/person
Outdoor Laser Tag-Lookout Mountain 1-hour
This activity is fun and challenging while much safer than paint ball. You can play solo or with a team and try to rescue the staged victim in a jungle appearing environment under armed guard. Meet at True Adventure Sports   $15/person
High Adventure Trip-North East Alabama 3-day
This three-day adventure starts with a rappelling adventure near Little River Canyon we will break for lunch then experience rock climbing on Lookout Mountain. The next day we will start with a wild cave tour in Manitou Cave exploring beautiful formations and search for wild life in the underground. We will take a break and then meet that evening for an extreme night hike at Cherokee Rock Village where we will explore sandstone mazes with the use of teamwork. The next day we will meet for a relaxing canoe trip on The Little River. Meet at True Adventure Sports $137/Person 
Treasure Hunt Adventure-Manitou Cave 5-hours
Do you enjoy trying to solve riddles and clues?  Ever wanted to find buried treasure?  Up for new & exciting challenges?  Then our Cave Treasure Hunt is for you.  This 5-hour adventure will take you deep into the heart of Manitou Cave.  You will have to solve and follow each clue in order to find the next one, and ultimately the Treasure!  Are you up for the challenge? Meet at True Adventure Sports $65/person
One-Day Treasure Hunt-Northeast Alabama 7 to 9 hours
Have you ever wanted to step outside the box and search for clues that could be hidden under any obstacle or around any turn?  If so, our one-day Treasure Hunt is for you. This adventure not only takes physical ability but intelligence as well.  This 7 to 9-hour adventure will take you to many locations on or near Lookout Mountain.  You will have to solve and follow each clue in order to find the next one, and ultimately the Treasure!  Are you up for the challenge?  Meet at True Adventure Sports $85/person
Extreme Race-North East Alabama 2-day
This two-day race experiences high adventure while in search for the next clue to lead you to the finish line. This race will lead each group in a different direction of high adventure, shopping, lodging, dinning out, and exploring while leading each group to the finish line. You will be allotted funds to cover each expense required to make it to the end. A prize will be presented to the winner. Meet at True Adventure Sports $395/person. Note: Food, lodging, and transportation will be provided.
Survival Adventure-North East Alabama 48-hours
This 48-hour adventure teaches and tests your skills to survive in the outdoors. You will learn how to live and eat well even in tough conditions. We will need to find water, build a shelter, find food, build a fire, set safety barriers, signal for help, navigate, and most importantly stay alive. All you will be allowed to bring is the clothes on your back. This is a safe way for you to test yourself for an extreme circumstance. The instructor will have the means to call for help if needed.  Meet at True Adventure Sports $115/person
The Winter Excursion- North East Alabama
The Winter Excursion is a mystery trip that includes hiking, bouldering, sightseeing, navigation, survival, teambuilding, waterfalls, and just plain fun. You will need to bring a small backpack, compass, flashlight, change of socks, warm clothes, camera, trail mix, water, small first aid kit, emergency blanket and emergency poncho. 
We offer three different versions of this amazing adventure level I is $39/person and last 3 hrs, level II is $48/person and last 4.5 hrs, and level III is $65/person and last 6 - 7 hrs. Meet at True Adventure Sports (Rental gear is available at our store.)

Backpacking Trip Highlands (North Carolina) 2 days 1 night
This backpacking trip leaves our store at 6am the first day and returns at 10pm on the following night. Our travel/drive time is 3.5 to 4 hours to Highlands/Cashiers area in NC. The trail is a 6.5-mile intro trail but will be spaced out with many adventures along the way. We will spend one night on the trail before getting to the hike out point. We will also be teaching many survival skills on the trail. Meet at True Adventure Sports $85/person plus $15 each if you need transportation - Rental gear is available at our store.

Orienteering Class - True Adventure Sports 3-hours
Basic yet essential skills for survival navigation are brought to you in map reading, compass reading, and topography.  Bring your own compass or you may purchase one at our store.  Meet at T.A.S. Training Center $25/person
Orienteering Class level II - True Adventure Sports 6-hours
Learn essential skills for survival by navigating with whatever is available such as a map, compass, stars, GPS, trees, wildlife, sundial, topography, and even an emergency homemade compass.  Bring your own compass or you may purchase or rent one at our store. Meet at T.A.S. Training Center $45/person
Celestial navigation-TAS Camp Sites 2-hours
This two-hour class is a basic introduction to navigation by the stars. Learn how to navigate without the use of a compass or GPS with the same rules used for almost six thousand years.  Meet at T.A.S. Training Center  $20/person

GPS Training and Navigation Class Part 1 – True Adventure Sports 4 to 5-hours

Learn how to use a map, compass, and a handheld GPS. Learn basic navigation and how to pinpoint a location for quick return, or quick rescue. Also learn how to search by waypoints or coordinates. Note: Compass and handheld GPS is required. Meet at T.A.S. Training Center $45/person
GPS Basics Training Class Part 2  - True Adventure Sports 3-hoursLearn how to quickly apply navigation skills learned in part 1. You will learn to find a beacon placed in the woods as a SAR attempt while knowing your position, and the position of your teammates.  Note: Compass and handheld GPS is required.  Meet at T.A.S. Training Center $40/person

Knot Class & Application – True Adventure Sports 2-hours
Introduction and instruction to essential knots and their application for camping, rappelling, rock climbing, outdoors survival, and other applications.  Meet at T.A.S. Training Center.

Overnight Camping Skills Class – TAS Campsites 16-hours
Most needed camping skills are brought to you as well as advanced skills such as how to find dry fuels, how to build a fire without smoke, how to start a fire without matches or flint, lean to construction, and safety barriers.  Contact True Adventure Sports to see what gear you need to bring.  Meet at T.A.S. Cold Weather Survival Training Level 1 – T. A. S. Training Center 3-hoursLearn how to survive in cold harsh conditions.  Learn tips to prevent hypothermia and death.  This class covers the basics for emergency cold weather conditions and also covers a few tips on how to stay warm and comfortable for everyday cold conditions.  Meet at T.A.S. Training Center $35/person

Outdoor Survival Class Level 1 – True Adventure Sports 4-hoursYou can learn how to find and purify water, build shelters, set snares to catch food, build a fire without matches, find edible plants and bugs, and find and make outdoor remedies.  With these skills you can survive the outdoors without even the “basic essentials.” Meet at T.A.S. Training Center $45/person
Survival Class -North East Alabama 24-hours
This 24-hour class teaches and tests your skills to survive in the outdoors. You will learn how to live and eat well even in tough conditions. You will be taught to find water, build a shelter, find food, build a fire, set safety barriers, signal for help, navigate, and most importantly stay alive. All you will be allowed to bring is the clothes on your back. This is a safe way for you to test yourself for an extreme circumstance. The instructor will have the means to call for help if needed.  Meet at T.A.S. Training Center $99/person
Survival Class/Adventure-North East Alabama 48-hours

Practical Ingenuity School-Think Outside The Box -T.A.S. Training Center 2-hours
This class is open to the public and will be taught by different people at different times. The object of the class is to help each of us to use our mind to think of other solutions (if the known one is not available) to any given problem(s) from mechanical to business and everything in between. This will help all of us as we learn how to apply this skill to our life and our jobs. Please call or email our office if you wish to sign up for this class.  Bring a note pad and pen.

Poisonous Plants of Alabama-Little River Canyon Area 2-hours
This class is a brief overview of many poisonous plants in Alabama. There are many types of poisonous plants, learn how to spot them and what to do if you are affected by them. Also learn the vital role they play in our wilderness. Meet at T.A.S. Training Center $8/person

Wild Animals of Alabama-Little River Canyon Area 3-hours
This three-hour class covers many wild animals in Alabama. Some classes have sample live wild animals for display to learn about them up close. Learn which wild animals are dangerous and how to avoid them when in the outdoors. Also learn the vital role they play in our Alabama wilderness areas.  Meet at T.A.S. Training Center $8/person
Hypothermia Class-Little River Canyon Area 3-hours
This three-hour class teaches the extreme dangers and how to treat hypothermia. Learn how quick hypothermia can set in and the signs indicating it is setting in. Also learn steps to prevent hypothermia and how to combat it.  Meet at T.A.S. Training Center $30/Person
Rappelling Certification Class – T.A.S. Training Center – 8-hour class
This class covers rappelling basics indoor and basics outdoor.  The basics indoor class teaches you about rappelling safety/rappelling gear and its application, rappelling knots and application, and rigging points needed for rappelling.  The basics outdoor class reviews safety procedures, knots, gear, and rigging points; then you learn how to safely rappel and do several rappels before returning to the store for the rappelling test and knot exam.  Meet at T.A.S. Training Center  Total indoor and outdoor cost $145/person  Note:  You will receive a class 1 rappelling card upon successful completion of this class and exams.
Advanced Rappelling Class- T.A.S. Training Center – 8-hour class
This class reviews rappelling basics then teaches advanced rappelling. Learn special rigging, mechanical advantage, ascending and rope walking, alternate rappel devices, changeovers, advanced knots, safety procedures, special gear, and backup belaying.  You will also do several rappels and a change over before returning to the store for the rappelling test and knot exam.  Meet at T.A.S. Training Center $125/person.  Note:  You will receive a class 2 rappelling card upon successful completion of this class and exams.
Rescue Rappelling Class- T.A.S. Training Center – 8-hour class
This class reviews advanced rappelling then teaches you rescue rappelling. Learn rescue rigging, rescue hauls, rescue rappel devices, rescue knots, safety procedures and protocols, rescue gear, and emergency belaying.  You will also do several rappels, emergency changeovers, and staged rescues before returning to the store for the rappelling test and knot exam. Meet at T.A.S. Training Center $145/person
Tactical Rappelling- T.A.S. Training Center 8-hour class
This class reviews rappelling basics, advanced rappelling and teaches tactical rappelling with silent entry inverted rappels, australian rappels, and fast rope before returning to the store for the rappelling test and knot exam. To take the Tactical Rappelling Class you are required to have taken Level 1,2, and 3 rappelling certification classes, and be a valid holder of a level three rappelling certification card and also have a valid law enforcement commission. Meet at T.A.S. Training Center $185/person
Work Rappelling- T.A.S. Training Center 8-hour class
This class covers and meets all the safety procedures and protocols of work rappelling.  It contains materials custom fit to the needed information and application of practical rappelling skills pertaining to your work environment. 
NOTE: To take the Work Rappelling Class you are required to have taken the Level 1 certification class and be a valid holder of a level one rappelling certification card.

Rappel Master Certification Class- T.A.S. Training Center - 60-hour class
This class reviews rappelling basics, advanced rappelling, rescue rappelling, and tactical rappelling then covers instructor level rappel procedures. Learn each rigging type, advanced rescue hauls, alternate knots, the role of a rappel master, their protocols, additional gear, and instructor belaying.  You will also do several instructor rappels, instructor level changeovers, staged rescues, silent entry inverted rappels, australian rappels, and fast rope before returning to the store for the rappelling test and knot exam.  Meet at T.A.S. Training Center $385/person. 
Note:  You will receive a rappel master card upon successful completion of this class and exams. To take the Rappel Master Class you are required to have taken the level 1, and 2 classes and be a valid holder of a level two rappelling certification card. Level 3, Work, and Tactical Basic are included in this class.
Advanced Rigging Class - T.A.S. Training Center - 8 hour class 
This class covers basic to advanced level knots and rigging.  The goal of this class is to learn how to use gear to safely rig for any job, weather with rope, webbing, cable, or other rigging gear.  This class covers knots and application for hauling, rappelling, rock climbing, ascending, securing objects, setting safe boundaries, or lowering loads.  You will learn the rigging points needed and what can be used for rigging.  Learn special rigging with mechanical advantage, advanced knots, special gear, and backup or emergency belaying. This class reviews safety procedures and protocols for the rigging world.  Meet at T.A.S. Training Center

Basics Climbing Class intro - T.A.S. Training Center  6-hour class
This class starts at the basics of rock climbing utilizing a top rope set up. No prior experience is necessary as this class will teach you the basic set up for safety, gear, and rigging.  You will learn about holds, routs, belaying, belay commands, and emergency procedures. This class starts indoors and then moves outdoors for several actual climbs.  Meet at TAS Training Center $85/person includes all gear needed
Lead & Holds Climbing Class - T.A.S. Training Center 8-hour class

This class will review basic climbing techniques while teaching you anchor-building techniques, advanced rope management, belay systems, climbing techniques, rappelling and basic emergency rescue. You will learn terminology and protocols for standard climbing and belaying. You will also learn to lead and clean routs on several climbs.

Meet at TAS Training Center $125/person personal gear and previous experience belaying & climbing required.
 Trad & Anchors Climbing Class - T.A.S. Training Center - 9 hour class
This class reviews basic climbing and lead climbing, while teaching you other climbing types such as crack climbing, lead climbing routs without preset anchors, climbing non designated routs, and the use of specialized gear. You will also learn how to set safety anchors with various different methods. This class will require many different climbs.Personal gear and previous experience belaying & climbing required.  Meet at TAS Training Center $135/person
Multi-Pitch Lead Climbing Class - T.A.S. Training Center 9-hour class
This class will review basic, lead and trad climbing while teaching you the method of leading routs longer than a standard rout. You will learn how to safely pitch off and belay other climbers to your position for continued climbing. You will learn advanced anchors, knots, and rigging for multi-pitch belaying and climbing. You will also learn multi-pitch rappelling for long descents with shorter ropes. This class will require several climbs.Personal gear and previous experience belaying & climbing required. Meet at TAS Training Center $145/person
Rescue Climbing Class - T.A.S. Training Center 12-hour class
This class will review climbing basics, lead, trad, and multi-pitch climbing while teaching you the required safety procedures of rescue climbing. Learn rescue rigging, rescue hauls, rescue rappel, rescue knots, safety procedures, and emergency belaying.  You will learn the rigging points needed and what can be used for rigging.  Learn special rigging with mechanical advantage, advanced knots, special gear, lowering or hauling loads, and backup or emergency belaying. This class will require practical training.Personal gear and previous experience belaying & climbing required.  Meet at TAS Training Center $225/person
Bouldering Class - T.A.S. Training Center 6- hour class
This class starts at the basics of bouldering with a crash mat. No prior experience is necessary, as this class will teach you the basic techniques for safety, gear, and approach.  You will learn about holds, routes, and emergency procedures. This class starts indoors and then moves outdoors for several actual climbs. Includes all gear needed.  Meet at TAS Training Center  $85/person
